Your Wrapped: the nurse year-in-review

Spotify-Wrapped-style year-end keepsake built from your shifts, patients, ratings, and the moments that mattered.

What you’ll do

Open your Wrapped at the end of the year and tap through a series of full-screen cards. Patients seen, shifts worked, top specialty, top patient stats, your most-rated qualities. Final card is a shareable graphic. The whole thing is built from the slider data and shift tally you’ve been generating all year.

Why nurses use this

Nursing rarely gives you a keepsake. There’s no quarterly report card, no LinkedIn announcement, no “this is what you did this year.” A shift ends, the next one starts, twelve months later you’re somehow burned out and you can’t trace why because you can’t trace anything. The work doesn’t leave artifacts. Wrapped is the artifact. It’s intentionally a little dramatic. Animated, full-screen, segmented like Spotify’s. Because the year deserves it.

How to get there

  • End-of-year: Synapse announces it in the app when your Wrapped is ready.
  • Direct route: app.nursebrain.com/wrapped opens it once it’s live for the year.

Step-by-step

  1. Open Wrapped. The first card loads with floating shapes and a segmented progress bar at the top. Tap to advance. Same gesture as Stories.

  2. Tap through the cards. Each one shows one statistic, animated. Examples:

    • “You worked X shifts this year.”
    • “You cared for Y patients.”
    • “Your top specialty was Z.”
    • “Your highest-gratitude patient was a [bed-anonymized] admit on [date].”
    • “Your most resilient month was [month].”
    • “Pre-shift energy averaged X / 5.”
  3. Reach the final card. A shareable graphic. “My NurseBrain [year] Wrapped”. With summary stats and the visual branding.

  4. Share. Tap Share. The card renders to an image and opens the system share sheet. Send to friends, post if you want, save to your camera roll.

Tips from the floor

  • Wrapped reads back exactly what you put in. If you skipped end-of-shift ratings for two months, your Wrapped will have a hole. The data is what you gave it.
  • It’s intentionally a little extra. The animated shapes and full-screen format aren’t being subtle. Synapse wanted the year to feel like an event, not a stat block.
  • The final-card graphic is sized for social. Square crop, big numbers, readable on a feed. Use it as you want.
  • Wrapped is a gift from the year. Just your year, read back to you.

Common questions

When is Wrapped available? End of calendar year. Synapse announces it in the app when yours is ready.

Can I see last year’s Wrapped? Save or share the final card when you watch it. That’s your keepsake; browsing back to prior years isn’t supported yet.

Are my patients’ actual names in the share graphic? No. Bed numbers and anonymized identifiers only. The graphic is shareable; the underlying data behind it is yours alone.

What if I had a hard year? Wrapped reads what’s in the data. If the year was hard, that shows. The framing is celebratory but honest. It’s not a hype machine and it doesn’t fabricate good news.

Does Wrapped include the Brain conversations or notes content? No. Wrapped uses aggregate stats. Shifts, patients, ratings, slider trends. The content of your Brain threads and notes stays private.

Can I export my Wrapped as a PDF? The share renders as PNG. PDF export hasn’t been built. The PNG works for screen sharing and printing.

Where this fits in your shift

Wrapped is the year-end mirror to the shift-by-shift view in burnout and resilience. One is the trend; the other is the keepsake.
